About Us
Founded in 2011 by Alexa Buenrostro, AplusB Education has been a staple of the community for over 10 years. Alexa's passion is helping students uncover their potential and become confident and independent learners. Her Master's Degree in Special Education, Specialization in Reading, and various structured literacy trainings, including Orton-Gillingham, Lindamood-Bell Processes, and The Institute of Multi-Sensory Education, have given her a proper understanding of how to help frustrated learners. Our team of expert tutors, hand-picked by Alexa, use the most up-to-date evidence-based approaches to help bridge the learning gaps struggling students face. AplusB's tutoring specialists meet students where they are in their learning journey. Whether our students have dyslexia or other language-based reading disabilities, or need extra support or enrichment, our team of tutors are prepared to empower students to reach their goals.
Services
We are not a traditional, one-size fits all tutoring agency. We assess your child to determine unique needs and learning styles and develop a diagnostic and prescriptive plan based on multi-sensory and evidence based methodologies. AplusB understands the tutor-child connection is imperative for children to succeed, and is why we hand-match every student to a tutoring expert who can best help students reach their academic goals.
AplusB Education provides services in Miami Dade and Broward county for preschool through high school students. Sessions take place in-home, school, or a convenient location. Virtual sessions are also available. Most of our tutoring is done on a 1:1 basis, but semi-private or small group classes are available upon request.
